KIDS, grab your friends and family and join us for the premier Kidsfest event! Sponsored by the City of Avondale Estates and presented by The Museum School of Avondale Estates, Kidsfest will be October 1st from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the intersection of Pine Street and Franklin Street in quaint Avondale Estates. All proceeds benefit The Museum School and will be used for much-needed school resources.

  The Kidsfest schedule of events includes:
  9:15 a.m. Warm up with CrossFit Kids for the ½ mile FunRun for Kids (Waffle House parking lot, Avondale Estates)
  9:45 a.m. Kidsfest FunRun for Kids start (no registration, no fee, just show up and participate; ½ mile course; ends at entrance to Kidsfest at Pine Street; parents welcome to run along with their kids)
  9:55 a.m. Kidsfest Welcome by Kidsfest Emcee Michael Haun
  9:55 a.m. Tricia Bowers/Metro Dance
  10 a.m.  The Museum School of Avondale Estates Chorus
  10:30 a.m. Kids’ Yoga demonstration – led by The Museum School 2nd graders (Ms. Kelli Love)
  10:45 a.m. Julie Baggenstoss -- "Ferdinand por Farruca" performance, including flamenco dance demonstrations, flamenco dance lesson, and a reading of the children's book The Story of Ferdinand
  11:30 a.m.  Storytelling - Christy Foelsch
  11:45 a.m.  Avondale Children’s Choir performance
  12:45 p.m.  Sizzle Hiss Pop Band show
  2:30 p.m.  Laughing Pizza show
  3:30 p.m.  Laughing Pizza signs autographs/photos

Designed to showcase the Avondale Estates Community and Business Associations, Kidsfest will spotlight the artistic offerings of our little museum town. Kidsfest will feature four “hands-on” areas of “Kid Zones”:

Visual Arts – Art is fun! Activities will include hands-on art as well as displayed art (via a special kids’ gallery) for all to enjoy. Other activities will include face painting, mural creation, puppet making and more!

Performing Arts – Don’t miss special musical performances by nationally known kids entertainers, local children’s choirs and dance studios, storytelling performances, and more. Kids can make their own musical instruments and there will be balloons and bubbles galore.

Sports and Wellness –All sizes definitely play here! This zone is for kids of every age. It’s time to get moving, shaking, and jumping with bounce houses and fun activities designed to get you active and engaged.
